Academic Camps & Classes in California

Nationally, about three quarters of published academic sessions are weekly classes rather than camps. That suits the category, since tutoring and enrichment usually run alongside the school year rather than replacing it.

Across the country, September is the busiest month for starts by a clear margin, so the calendar follows the school year. Weekly rates sit around $300 in the middle, and most programs take children from about 5 to 12. For exam preparation specifically, test prep and tutoring is the narrower heading, and STEM covers the hands-on end.
