Malika and her staff are warm, professional, and down to earth. The kids bond with one another very quickly as I think is a reflection of the safety/ security and fun that the staff/program fosters. I appreciate the learning aspect to the daily routine. For example, our kid was able to explore and interact with classroom animals and become educated about them and how to handle/treat them. I also appreciate the complimentary afternoon recreation portion at rotating parks/beaches/rec centers etc which really rounded off the day giving SCLC a good "summer camp vibe." I wish there were more affordable, safe and stimulating options like this in Santa Cruz, and I would recommend SCLC to any parent/ guardian.

His math skills and confidence have increased incredibly and he has gone from nearly failing his math classes to doing well and feeling confident in his abilities. The staff are incredibly supportive and flexible with scheduling and adding in extra tutoring sessions when he needs them. My son has tried group tutoring and math help at other math-centered learning centers without much success in the past, but his experience at Santa Cruz Learning Center has helped him immensely. We can not say enough wonderful things about the tutoring and support he has received there this year!
