Excellent staff at this location. They honestly care about the kids there. I would definitely recommend the Boys and Girls Club to anyone needing a safe place for their children to go.
Epic basketball program led by dedicated and passionate people. If you want your kids to learn, love, and appreciate the game of basketball this is the place for you.
Mr. O, You need to know the "referee" you are calling out happens to be the main CREATOR of the basketball program at the SC Boy's and Girl's Club and has been for many years. If you only knew the dedication he has to this program and, most importantly, to the people who help him make it awesome for all the kids who participate, you would understand why your comment made him react the way he did. This is a Basketball Family, and when you direct profane insults toward young family members, you are going hear it loud from the Father of This Family!!!
My children and I LOVE this place. The Staff and Programs are TOP NOTCH. Besides being a convenient and affordable after-school program, the staff truly love working with kids. In my opinion this place is better than school, and my kids get so much out of it. There's homework help, art, music, sports, games, swimming, gardening. I could go on. My kids get to roll with and learn with a diverse crew of all ages and backgrounds. The teen program is really cool, and encourages kids into leadership roles in such a positive way. The club culture embraces Santa Cruz ideals - and encourages expression and acceptance. Leah, Elin, Katie and Andrew - you guys are the best! My family truly appreciates all you do for us!
