The Edgartown Yacht Club runs summer sailing programs for youngsters and adults through its Junior Yacht Club, formed in 1923 to teach young people sailing, seamanship, racing rules and tactics. Instruction is led by a Sailing Director with a staff of ten or more instructors, using a club fleet of 30-plus Optimist dinghies, 22 420s and a few Rhodes 19s and Lasers, and the club emphasises letting each sailor build skills and confidence at their own pace. It is a private club on Edgartown Harbor; programs are oriented to members.

Powered by GoogleI was invited as a guest on a few occasions summer of 25' and had a wonderful experience with friends. Nice to go out and have people keeping up with dining dress etiquette.
Very stately and refined. I felt welcomed, and so would you if you're fortunate enough to be an invited guest of this private club. The food and service was delicious and top notch. #raceweek #regattas #sailing
