Sail Cape Cod is a nonprofit youth sailing program in Hyannis for children ages six and up, open to both beginners and those with some experience. Students meet at the Sail Cape Cod shed behind the Cape Cod Maritime Museum and sail 18-foot knockabouts in small groups with US Sailing Level I certified instructors and a safety boat alongside, at roughly a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio. Classes are one-week blocks of five 90-minute sessions (9:00–10:30 or 11:00–12:30), and a needs-based scholarship program keeps it accessible; the organization has suspended operations for the 2026 season and plans to return in 2027.

3-day Adult sailing class was great! The staff were all very helpful and all of our instructors (each day) had many years of sailing experience they were happy to share with us

An amazing opportunity for our family. The staff were very kind and professional. Our Captain Peter, taught us everything about manning our ship! Our family had a fantastic time and learned a lot. Thank you very much Sail Cape Cod for being able to provide this to families that have disabilities.
