West End Racing Children's Community Sailing
Private
West End Racing Children's Community Sailing (WERCCS) is a 75-year-old Provincetown nonprofit providing low-cost sailing, sailboat racing and water-safety instruction to children ages 8–14. Kids learn through paired peer instruction, on-the-water drills, progressive competency testing and intramural races held two to three times a week, using dinghies, kayaks, Sunfish and Topaz Uno sailboats from a boathouse on the beach at 83 Commercial Street. The program is drop-in: a single $275 registration covers any or all of the summer and children may attend on the days they choose.
