Buzzards Sailing School is a nonprofit community sailing school on Wings Neck in Pocasset, teaching youth ages 7–18 to sail and race since 1965. Eight weeks of summer programming cover every level from beginner learn-to-sail through experienced racing, plus private lessons, taught by experienced instructors in school-owned RS Quests and 420s and a mix of school- and privately-owned Optimist dinghies. A Friday morning race series gives advanced sailors a chance to compete against their peers.
