Even though the weather didn't cooperate, it was still great to enjoy the view of the water and the room is cozy without feeling cramped. John and his staff were helpful and accomodating, and it was good to know that the (very reasonable) rental fee was going to a great cause. Hope to be back with the sun out.

I showed up to sail on a beautiful, blue sky day with a sustained 10 knot breeze in mid-August and they told me it was too windy to sail. Nonsense.

★★Chic MotherMy child has been a camper for the past several years at CB and has repeatedly asked about volunteer opportunities, including junior instructor volunteer positions. Repeatedly they’ve been told no, that they’re not ready. When we asked what skills need to be demonstrated, we were told that it’s up to the councilors and it varies. Frustrating that there’s no transparency regarding the competencies that need to be met for each “level”. Also maddening that there’s no equity in this “process”. Their friends and fellow campers who have been invited to volunteer have confessed that they have no idea why they were invited other than being friends with the councilors. If your child is engaged in community building and has an earnest desire to participate in volunteerism, CB is not the right fit.
