Summer Day Camp at The Community House, a nonprofit community center in Hinsdale, groups campers into five age-based groups (Guppies through Sharks) and mixes clubs such as cooking, nature, drama, photography and sports with a weekly field trip and swimming at the Hinsdale Pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Camp runs as ten week-long themed sessions from June 1 to August 7, and families register by the week for entering K/1st grade through entering 6th-8th grade. Half-day camps (9am-12pm or 12-3pm) and a supervised Lunch Buddies midday bridge are offered alongside full-day camp, and Sunrise Care extends the day from 7:00am. Need-based help is available through the Jordan Crist Scholarship.

One of the better community houses in the area!!

I go there to play duplicate bridge The building is easy to navigate and very user friendly. Lots of parking and good parking for handicapped people. When you enter the building you are usually greeted with a friendly smile. The building is set up with a kitchen in case your group wants a room with a cooked in meal. Plenty of restrooms.

As a long time resident I can safely say that this is a great place for our community. There is much to read about all the activities at the Community House on heir website so I reccommend doing that. If you are thinking about moving to Hinsdale, this is but one of the many things that make our community a great place for you and your family.

We came here to investigate HCH as a possible venue option for a wedding. The current event planner, name already mentioned by another reviewer, is short-spoken, non-negotiable in attitude and irritable to questions to the point where both my fiance and I began to hold back in asking any. It did not feel as if she would be capable of building a trustful, low stress relationship or that our best interests were at heart. The facilities of Hinsdale Community House are of course nice and it is a shame to give it only three stars, but we will take our search for a venue elsewhere solely because of our experience.
