Sage YMCA is a branch of the nonprofit YMCA of Metro Chicago at 701 Manor Rd. in Crystal Lake, and one of more than fifteen Y sites running Y Summer Camp. Traditional camp days include an opening circle, snack, physical activity, experiential learning, lunch, choice time and a closing circle, often with swimming and on-site or off-site field trips; specialty camps cover STEAM topics such as tinkering, robotics, cooking and detective work, and sports and aquatics camps follow their own curriculums. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with before care (7-9 a.m.) and after care (4-6 p.m.) included at no extra cost; camps are ACA-accredited, financial assistance and CCAP are accepted, and an inclusion team supports campers with disabilities.

★★★★★Ilona NechyporukWe love spending time at this fitness center, especially on cold or winter evenings with our kids. It has become one of our favorite places to unwind and stay active as a family when the weather outside is not ideal. The staff is exceptionally kind and welcoming, especially toward children, which makes the whole experience very comfortable and family-friendly. We always feel genuinely welcomed every time we visit. I personally also really enjoy the sauna—it’s a great way to relax and recharge after a workout or a busy day. They also have a wonderful kids’ room, which is a big plus for families. Our son is not quite ready to stay there yet, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before he starts enjoying it too. Overall, it’s a clean, friendly, and family-oriented place that we truly enjoy returning to.
★Jaleh SherbiniWorse experience. Their app is horrible. Something is always not working with it and when you question why? whoever is in charge either blames the member instead of admitting that it’s their fault that needs fixing or cancels your class reservations or just ignores your concern completely. Upper management needs to take a closer look at what is happening at the Sage YMCA location. This is Not the first time this has happened nor will it be the last. Unacceptable and unprofessional. We are intelligent paying members and SHOULD NOT be treated like idiots.
★★★★★Max VaughnMe and my friends go here to workout, swim, basketball, anything you can think of they have here. Employees are super nice, and every stranger you meet here is super kind aswell. Overall good prices for drinks and food and for the membership.
★Chitown WeedI joined for the pools. But they are pretty disgusting. People use them to rinse off after a workout! When I was there last week, a group of parents and their kids tracked in mud and muck onto the pool decks. Later the guards hosed it into the pool!
