Foglia YMCA
Private
Foglia YMCA is a branch of the nonprofit YMCA of Metro Chicago at 1025 N. Old McHenry Rd. in Lake Zurich, and one of more than fifteen Y sites running Y Summer Camp. Traditional camp days include an opening circle, snack, physical activity, experiential learning, lunch, choice time and a closing circle, often with swimming and on-site or off-site field trips; specialty camps cover STEAM topics such as tinkering, robotics, cooking and detective work, and sports and aquatics camps follow their own curriculums. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with before care (7-9 a.m.) and after care (4-6 p.m.) included at no extra cost; camps are ACA-accredited, financial assistance and CCAP are accepted, and an inclusion team supports campers with disabilities.

Powered by GoogleThe plant is perfect. I gave it 3 stars due to trying to, unsuccessfully, change my card being used for dues. Ive been at this for 4 days. The desk at Foglia was also not successful. Terrible web site and no place to submit a question
I’d love to see the swim instructors get in the pool when they’re teaching swim lesson. Some kids learn visually and need to be shown instead of told. Otherwise this place has been great.
Like other members, of minority, experienced and complained about, we were deliberately discriminated and treated differently by the manager at this gym in Lake Zurich, a town known for lack of diversity. It feels like the management discouraging too many members of colors working out in this facility.
I have to say that Patty at the desk of this Lake Zurich YMCA made my day!! Needed to charge my phone but wanted to workout this Saturday. Couldn’t do both as I was in a time crunch and was having an issue charging it in my car. Patty easily could’ve said to my request of charging it behind the desk and keeping an eye on it for me as I worked out. She was happy to oblige and I was set rest of the day because of her small act of service. Life is about the lil things and Patty helped a ymca member in a very big way. Thank you Patty! 👍
We’ve been members of the YMCA for the past four years, and it’s so much more than just a gym. Every member of our family can find an activity that suits them. Huge thanks to Eric Palmblad for being an amazing coach (kids are listening) and a true multitasker!
