South Side YMCA is a branch of the nonprofit YMCA of Metro Chicago at 6330 S. Stony Island Ave. in Chicago, and one of more than fifteen Y sites running Y Summer Camp. Traditional camp days include an opening circle, snack, physical activity, experiential learning, lunch, choice time and a closing circle, often with swimming and on-site or off-site field trips; specialty camps cover STEAM topics such as tinkering, robotics, cooking and detective work, and sports and aquatics camps follow their own curriculums. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with before care (7-9 a.m.) and after care (4-6 p.m.) included at no extra cost; camps are ACA-accredited, financial assistance and CCAP are accepted, and an inclusion team supports campers with disabilities.

★★★★★Shelly LebronStaff was nice. They gave a tour going there for the first time. They have 2 swimming pools. And a hot tub. Very nice. Not crowded when we went
★★★★★Xueping LiuThe y is my favorite gym, the south of the Y is one of my favorite gym. Workers are super nice , kindly, especially thanks to the kids zone workers and coaches.
★★★★★Kathy HardneyI love the Staff and programming! Right now we only have two days of pilates, and I wish we had more classes and yoga everyday.
★★★★★The ScentuaryClean facility. Friendly staff. Great pool, steam, sauna, hot tub, track, & weight room. Of course, water aerobics is fit-fun!
★★★★★yvonne obyOur Operation Change organization uses the Southside YMCA to facilitate the 18 week program we host for FREE each year. After being shut down for 2 years due to COVID-19, we just relaunched in July 2022 and the ladies are having a Blast! Registration ended 7/16, maybe we'll see you next year
