Indian Boundary YMCA is a branch of the nonprofit YMCA of Metro Chicago at 711 59th St. in Downers Grove, and one of more than fifteen Y sites running Y Summer Camp. Traditional camp days include an opening circle, snack, physical activity, experiential learning, lunch, choice time and a closing circle, often with swimming and on-site or off-site field trips; specialty camps cover STEAM topics such as tinkering, robotics, cooking and detective work, and sports and aquatics camps follow their own curriculums. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with before care (7-9 a.m.) and after care (4-6 p.m.) included at no extra cost; camps are ACA-accredited, financial assistance and CCAP are accepted, and an inclusion team supports campers with disabilities.

Very nice YMCA, I used to go here years ago. Staff and patrons are very nice and welcoming.

I called the night before I went to the gym with me and my friends. I called the night before to ask if we were able to play in open gyms and buy a day pass even if we are 15 and 16 years old. They said on the phone that as long as we are above 11 years old, we can get in by ourselves and didn’t need a parent. Got to the YMCA and they told us that we need a parent to sign the waiver, which is understandable. They need more informed workers that don’t make us have to drive an hour to pick everyone up then go to the gym, just to get turned down, very disappointed.

Terrible service. You pay full price and will not get what you pay for. There are service issues there, never stops. Highly recommend any other ymca. Avoid this one. The staff and management is the issue and what a shame to since they have great equipment and cool stuff. Always adding more. But the staff/ management... NOT worth the shiny new things. Highly recommend going to a different one.

My Life- DIY

Have had problems over the years, but this one takes the cake. Our school plays volleyball there. Tonight's game had an 7ft 10inch net for the Junior high volleyball. Not even sure you should count a game with a net that's not in regulation size. On the way out I asked and was told by the 3 front desk attendants that the net couldn't be lowered to the height it is suppose to be to be in regulation, because the system it is on, is broken. I asked when they will get it fixed. I was told they have to get a new system. Wow. Doesn't sound like anytime soon! How can they charge full rates and breech contract like that!? The staff was so relaxed about it too. Unreal!!!

We were in town on vacation for a few days and my sons wanted to play basketball. I contacted the office and Laura was so inviting, pleasant and helpful. We spent some time with Kareem on the basketball courts. Every person we met was friendly. I highly recommend this YMCA!
