South Barrington Park District runs a set of full-day summer camps for kids entering kindergarten through 9th grade, held at the park district and at Community Park. Junior Adventure Camp, Adventure Camp, Girl Power and Quest Adventure Camp all run 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and mix themed activities, arts and crafts, sports, science, team building and outdoor games, with recreational swimming at the South Barrington Aquatic Center and field trips each session. Camps are grouped by grade, with a girls-only option and a teen adventure track, plus half-day camps for children enrolled in Barrington 220 summer school at Grove Elementary. A CampDoc health profile is required before camp starts.

Only thing blocking the fifth star is that there are elements of the place that feel "old/not maintained." Generic example is the locker room has sliding doors. Those doors are heavily "worn" (beat up from poorly placed, cheap lock mechanisms) and don't function very well (loud squeaks and don't glide well). Overall, a minor inconvenience, but it's those little details that tend to hint at greater care/priorities for a property.
