Dolphin Swim Club's Booster Camps at its Crystal Lake site (825A Munshaw Ln) are week-long swim-skill camps held in two indoor warm saltwater pools, taught by club instructors and grouped by the same Starfish-through-Blowfish levels used in its year-round lessons. Each camp runs five consecutive days and families can register for a single week or the whole summer; beginning and intermediate camps are capped at 3-4 children per instructor. Open to kids age 2 and up at all skill levels, with placement help by phone and a $38 annual family facility fee due at registration. Daily session length is not published, so this is a short daily lesson block rather than full-day care.

★Cristal2/25- updated response It was not a computer error. My child was able to check in and I confirmed with staff that he was in the system. There was no computer error. My son was not able to finish his swim lesson because he was pulled out of the pool and publicly humiliated and verbally abused.Staff member Amy needs to be retrained on how to treat families and not assume they don't belong there. Her temperament is not professional and she should not be around children with her disgruntled attitude. To the families who read this review, please avoid staff member Amy if you can. 2/21- After almost two years of coming here, I do not recommend this place. My child has been going here for almost 2 years but today my child was verbally abused by a staff member. I was told over the phone yesterday that my child could do a make up lesson today at 11:30. My child and his grandmother arrived and went in. They were able to log into the front computers and the computer said lesson at 11:30 yellow bracelet. Five minutes before the lesson ended a staff member told my child and his grandmother they were not supposed to be here in a very rude manner. My child began to cry out of fear and embarrassment. His grandmother explained to staff that I had scheduled a a make up lesson and he was supposed to be there. She also requested the name of the staff member who belittled my son, but the staff member hid their name. My child described her as having orange hair. Belittling a child is utterly disgusting. No family should have to go through this. You could have easily seen that he was scheduled a make-up.. Why pull him out of the pool 5 mins before the lesson ended? I will no longer be coming her and will cancel my membership.
★★John RegnerI believe that everyone at dolphins swim club have their hearts in the right place. They want their students to improve, they just aren’t effective. Part of the problem is their business model. They hire high school kids with very little training and they are not determined instructors. The swim lesson groups are 3 to 5 kids for a half hour lesson. We used a stopwatch to time how much instruction our kids actually received and in a half hour lesson they would get about five minutes of personal instruction. We paid for lessons here for a year and a half and saw very little progress. I do not recommend taking your kids to dolphin swim club.
★Bob YMy daughter swam here for 4 months, Coach Noel was very good to her and coached her well. Another young coach girl was very good as well. When she swam with coach Connor I believe some small problems began. I noticed she became less enthusiastic and scared. When the conference week came, I spoke with coach Connor about her skills and was made aware of many things she was doing wrong and heard nothing good. Unfortunately, she was standing near my leg confused. When driving home she wept and asked why she wasn’t good at swimming anymore. I unenrolled her the following week. I am not willing to ever re-enroll at this school. Don’t send your kids here if you want them to be traumatized by mean coaches!
★Daniel OlexIf I can give negative stars I would!! Called a month before starting a class for my son. Talked to the director great convo convinced me to switch from bear paddle. 1 week before class starts I get a call saying they need to cancel my class I booked a month ago because there’s a older child now. After talking to front desk lady I was told 2 different stories from the same person at the same time. With that being said EVERYONE SAVE YOUR TIME SPEND THE EXTRA $10 AND GO TO BEAR PADDLE IN LAKE IN THE HILLS!!!!! The staff at dolphin swim club are shady and just want your money they don’t care about what they tell you. At this point I’m now returning to bear paddle and will NEVER think twice about changing. Never had issues at bear paddle just thought $10 savings was good but I guess I see why it’s $10 less!!!!
