Youth sailing at Seneca Yacht Club on Seneca Lake is run by Seneca Sailing Academy, a nonprofit formed in 2012, which offers a full summer of weekly sessions. Adventure Weeks run Monday-Friday 9am-4pm for ages 9-17 at all skill levels, covering sailing basics, multiple boat classes and on-water games; Opti Week is a four-day 9am-4pm session for ages 7-11 in Optimist dinghies covering rigging, boat handling, seamanship and water safety; and one Adventure Week is dedicated to girls and young women. Sailors must pass an age-appropriate swim test and bring a Coast Guard-approved life jacket. Scholarships are available on request.

Powered by GoogleA beautiful place on Seneca Lake with extensive grounds and plenty of parking with lots of picnic facilities and even a sand beach. Clubhouse is very nice and they even have a sailing academy! Costs are not outrageous and they are really nice folks.

Had a blast on a Flying Scott
Burned our Sox at the equinox. Good afternoon, though very windy. Nice bonfire on the beach.
