The Seal Beach Yacht Club is a breath of fresh air. There is a very welcoming and cozy vibe from the moment you walk in. They have an upstairs area that has an outdoor patio with a lovely view of the boats in the harbor. I was at the Seal Beach Yacht Club for a family birthday event upstairs. Out on the pation they had a set up for the catered food and lovely and COMFORTABLE seating area. Upstairs they have a full bar and it has a great selection and is priced very reasonably. There were two beautiful inside and out bartenders and those ladies were better than any of the guys at any venue I had ever performed at and been to. There was a BIG group at this event and they jammed. Like right out of that Bob Marley song "We're Jammin'" honestly I wanted to pull them aside and get all their fitness tips but they truly are just ladies that obviously love where they work and what they do and they do it with excellence, joy, and gorgeousness. Ok Now back to the venue lol. There is a spacious dance floor space and we had plenty of big round tables and there was still plentiful dance floor. I do draw the line at the Macarena (can that just please go away) but I did get out there for a few of the line type dances and it was fun. The Karaoke King DJ and KJ They had was fabulous. Ask the venue. I wasnt 100% sure I thought his name was Ray Southerland but the pic I snapped didnt come out. In my defense I was teying to dance and snap and I cant do either well alone. But wow he was fantastic. Really engaged the crowd. There were some people there that new ny cousin and they are part of the yacht clinic and they were such friendly and just rela people that I wish I lived closer I'd want to be a memeber. They have somw great events etc. and I just fell in love with the place. Ok parking:TONS and handicapped available too. Upstairs access: there is an elevator so wheelchair friendly. The bathrooms were cute and clean. I hope our next family gathering is there and it is an hour drive for me. Who cares it is worth it to feel like ive been transported to another place. It felt like a vacation. Go!! Tell them Meek sent you! I know you'll love it.

The Seal Beach Yacht Club has a welcoming, fun, boat -enthusiastic, lively group of people. The Yacht club was created 62 years ago by boat lovers. The collaborative, friendly welcoming community has kept its warm inviting culture and the members enjoy each other and the club activities. The current commodore is Jim Nagashima who was one of the engineers for first GM electric car. His knowledge of boats and his love of the yacht club and his enthusiastic wife make this a special wonderful yacht club The activities are diverse and include boat trips, dinners, concerts, games, bingo and more. The views of the Marina are beautiful and the location is perfect - near restaurants and the 2cd and pch mall. You don’t have to own a boat to join this great group of welcoming, fun people.
