Newport Sea Base is a Scouting-run waterfront program in Newport Beach that has operated since 1937 and is open to Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA and non-Scouts alike. Its summer camp runs June 8 to August 14 across ten weeks and offers sailing (beginner RS Teras through intermediate and advanced RS Fevas and CFJs), rowing, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, bay and ocean fishing, oceanography, and STEM design-and-build workshops. Aquatic day camps are offered as half-day and full-day experiences between 8:30am and 4:30pm, for youth ages 5-17.
