Long Beach Yacht Club runs a six-week summer sailing program for youth ages 5 to 18 on Alamitos Bay, meeting Monday through Friday. It takes all skill levels, from children who have never been on a sailboat through advanced racers, with the club's coaches emphasizing fun, safety and skill development. The club also runs fall and spring youth sailing sessions for sailors continuing through the school year.
