The Grand Traverse Bay YMCA runs summer day camp at 3700 Silver Lake Road in Traverse City, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. five days a week across ten weeks from mid-June to late August. Options include a K-Camp for children entering kindergarten with theme-based enrichment, group games, sports, experiments, crafts and swimming, and a Science and Nature Camp built around hands-on science, nature hikes, wildlife observation and eco-friendly crafts. Demand is high: the Y offers about 200 slots and sold out its ten weeks in roughly ninety seconds in 2025, and registration is now online only.
