I’m a camper who attended Willow Lake Day Camp in New Jersey for 9 years, and it has been one of the best parts of growing up. The camp creates such a fun, welcoming, and positive environment where everyone feels included. Over the years, I made amazing friendships, learned new skills, and created memories I’ll never forget. The staff is caring, energetic, and truly wants every camper to have the best summer possible. There are so many activities to enjoy, and each day always feels exciting and different. From sports and swimming to special events and trips, there’s always something to look forward to. What makes Willow Lake so special is the sense of community. After 9 years, it really feels like a second home. I’m so grateful for all the experiences I had there and would highly recommend Willow Lake Day Camp to any family looking for a fun, safe, and memorable summer camp experience.

Our 5yr old daughter’s first camp season with Willow Lake was amazing! We could see the confidence build in her over the summer as she participated in the many daily activities they offer. For example, swimming twice a day had given her the experience, and boost she needed, to be swimming on her own with no flotation assistance by the end of summer. The camps communication and daily shared photos are fantastic, and set my mind at ease. I’m excited for my daughter’s 2nd camp season, and I look forward to enrolling my son as soon as he’s old enough to join. I highly recommend Willow Lake Day Camp. Thanks!

I love working at Willow Lake because it has never really felt like work! It feels like I get to be a kid and enjoy summer camp to the fullest. I’ve spent the last 6 summers here and would do it for 60 more! (If they’ll let me!) There are tons of spirit days, special events, and an activity for everyone whether they like sports, art, or climbing in the trees. As a counselor working with the kids is the main focus but the people you’ll work alongside with and the friends you’ll make are what make this a truly special place to be! Everyone in leadership positions are approachable, knowledgeable, and truly committed to helping you be the best counselor/specialist/lifeguard you can be. I would recommend Willow Lake to anyone!

I recommend Willow Lake to all of my friends, both as a place to send your kids for the summer and, when they’re old enough, as a fantastic summer job. Everyone on staff is incredibly kind, and the staff truly care about every detail. I have worked at many summer camps and orgs that work with kids and nothing compares to the thoughtfulness that goes into running this camp. I don’t mean to be hyperbolic, but Willow Lake genuinely changed my outlook on summers. Being outside all day, away from your computer and phone, surrounded by amazing people, and getting to do the best activities is truly a gift. Willow Lake is a very special place that I feel lucky to be a part of, both as a parent who sends my kids there and as a summer staff member.

I absolutely love working at Willow Lake! It’s hands down the best summer job I’ve ever had! Every day is fun, meaningful, and full of new experiences, from building relationships with campers to working with an amazing team. I have built so many meaningful friendships with my co counselors, unit leaders, lifeguards and specialists. It doesn’t feel like work because I’m constantly laughing, learning, and making a positive impact. Camp is the perfect mix of responsibility, adventure, and unforgettable memories, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! I can not wait to come back to camp --- only 5 more months, but who's counting!
