Pingry Summer is the summer camp operation of The Pingry School, running on its Basking Ridge and Short Hills campuses in New Jersey. Its flagship day camp for rising grades K-6 rotates campers through sports, swim instruction for every camper, drama and creative arts, arts and crafts, outdoor adventure including a ropes course, archery, hiking and fishing, and STEM activities, with lunch included. Camp is enrolled by the week from late June through early August and runs 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. full day or 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. half day, with campers grouped as Kinders (entering K-1st), Juniors (2nd-3rd) and Seniors (4th-6th). The wider Pingry Summer catalog adds a Minis camp for ages 3-4 plus academic, athletics and partner camps serving up to age 18.

★★FaFa YanBe aware mini camp does not have aftercare, and it’s not mentioned anywhere on the website. As a matter of fact, registration page clearly say pick up as late as 5:30 PM. Aftercare is one of the biggest decision factor for summer camp and truly disappointing on the lack of transparency and no accommodation. Otherwise the camp is great

The counselors are exceptional. The daily swimming classes have helped my son (who dreams of being a scuba diver) feel confident in the water. The focus on community and character development means that this is not just a "play place". There is serious education happening each day while the kids are having "so much fun". Leadership skills are emphasized as well as pushing your own limits. I can't say enough good things about Big Blue Summer. This is a program that nurtures, supports, excites, and engages kids from all ages. Truly a gem.
