It was a fun experience for my daughter besides drama with other campers, but my son was being consistently bullied. We reported this to the camp many, many times and they did nothing about it at all. So furious at the horrible service, for such a pricey camp as well. My kids did two years here (the bullying happened in the second) and never went back. Despite my daughter liking it, (she had no trouble leaving though..), I was just appalled by this camp. It’s also been noted that many counselors are severely underpaid, screwed over, and some are salty or cold to the children.

SLDC is the most wonderful camp and I can’t speak more highly of the way it changed my son’s life forever. At 4 years old, he hopped on the bus every day just counting down the minutes to enter the happiest of days. From learning to swim to trying new foods to making wonderful friends, SLDC is the camp any parent should wish their kids can attend. The staff is incredible, so caring and kind. The directors treat every kid as their own and don’t miss one detail. Wonderful place, wonderful program and overall makes for a safe and happy place for any kid.
