The Rye YMCA runs Discovery and Sports day camps out of the Osborn School in Rye. Discovery Camp is a traditional day camp grouped by age and grade completed - Explorers for 4- and 5-year-olds, then Pioneers, Scouts, Trailblazers and Pathfinders through completed 5th grade - combining daily swim lessons with instructional sports, science, arts and music, and adding weekly field trips from the Pioneer group up. Sports Camp runs one-week sessions for ages 5 to 11, rotating basketball, soccer, baseball and multi-sport weeks with swim three days a week; sports campers do not join the Discovery trips. Camp operates Monday to Friday 9:00am-4:00pm, with extended care from 7:30am and until 6:00pm including a snack. Campers are bused to the Y for swim lessons, and the Y Cares programme offers camp financial aid.
