I’m reflecting with my kids on what an awesome summer they had. All thanks to the wonderful, energetic, creative staff at Future Star (Nassau Community College). My kids have attended 2 other camps prior so they know the drill of traditional camps. However, my son is not athletic, so we wanted to explored other options. Went to open house in Feb 2025 and the director, Ed gave us a tour through the campus and described all the different STEAM and speciality (magic, dance, cheer, etc) programs available. I was sold. As summer approached, I was a bit apprehensive of the change, but silly me my kids LOVED it (yes, all caps)!! Day after day when I pick them up, they would genuinely shout “BEST CAMP EVER!” No joke, they never want to leave. I, myself stay 15-40min with them at the camp playing with other kids.. I feel like an honorary camper myself!! Because of the time I spent there, I was able to witness the staff’s attentiveness and the amount of TLC they give to these children. I love how most of the camp counselors are life coaches who are trained to handle kids who may need extra attention/care and guide them through tough times. I have full confidence in the entire team at Future Star (NCC) especially under Ed’s leadership. Ed, the director is very involved, and you can tell he wholeheartedly care for everyone and everything. (He knows every campers’ schedule for the whole summer! Pretty impressive). In addition, he passionately talks about what more he wants to do for the campers, and his vision for Future Star (at this location). My kids and I look forward to returning next year!!! Bottom line: as my kids would say, “BEST CAMP EVER!!” This camp fulfills all the check boxes: - safe space for kids to have FUN, be creative, and explore (there’s something for everyone) - Structured/organized programs that keep kids active and challenged - trained coaches who actually care - SPACE that brings endless possibilities There’s no breakfast or lunch option. While I thought it would be a pain in the neck, it wasn’t bad at all. My kids even asked to pack lunch for the school year (which I did). In hindsight, it reduces food waste.

Our first year at Future Stars Nassau County was wonderful. Ed and his staff are super attentive, accommodating and friendly to work with. There are a variety of programs to choose from to suit your children's interest (sports, swim, steam, cheer, dance, minecraft, magic). We will definitely be back next year!!

If you looking for a camp..Future Stars located in garden city is the place where your kids need to attend.This camp facility operates with great care and compassion. They have a great security system that ensures your kids are kept safe. Rain or shine Future stars is always open. The staff is polite ,welcoming and patient. Thank you again for bringing fun and happiness in the summer days.

The camp search process is a full-time job within itself and especially when it’s the first time! We definitely had a tall order when it came to what we were looking for, with safety being TOP. I have to say, that was all immediately eased at the Open House. Ed is amazing, and really made us feel comfortable. Our 5 year old is one particular girl and immediately asked if she can go to camp here. ✨Alessia says 10/10 ✨ Coach Josh and Coach Kelly were the cherry on top. Thank you!! (We did 5 weeks in the Rising Stars program and she had a blast!!)

I first learned of Future Stars (Nassau Community Campus) in March 2023 after receiving a flyer in the mail. At the time, I’d already registered my daughter for another camp but decided to attend the open house at Future Stars. After comparing the two camps, I noted my top concerns- safety, affordability, and how comfortable I presumed my daughter would be. After touring the campus, I concluded that my daughter could attend a two week session at FS-NCC so as to assess her perceptions about attending the camp. On day two of her two week program, my daughter expressed that she was most pleased with the interactions with the camp staff, daily swim, and of course the air conditioning. I presume that she was well “over” the concept of being in the hot sun all day at her former camp. At the end of two weeks as returned to her former camp to finish the summer there. Grateful that I had given her the option to compare her experience at both places I want to stress that this year, she “informed” me and her classmates that she would be returning to Future Stars for summer 2024. She’d successfully recruited two additional young people, her younger sister, and cousin to attend as well. At that point, the choice was made! Upon arriving for this year’s camp session, Ed impressed me by immediately recognizing my child and her sister and personally acknowledging them; demonstrating his memory of my daughter from last year. I left camp, raving to my husband about the “great choice WE made” to send our children. In observing the interaction between Ed, the staff, and my daughter- he truly made her feel like she (and her sister) were “Stars.” Ed and his staff are phenomenal! The staff members embody kindness, genuineness, are forthright, and treat the children with respect and dignity. The magic of this location in particular, as I see it, is that they truly embody the mission of the company. Ed and his team treat the children and families of Future Stars as though they are current “Stars” by offering value, flexibility, and a positive environment by creating learning experiences that promote self- esteem and accomplishment.
