Over crowded, ran out of lunch and my son went hungry, spoke to management who said they would return my call about concerns but never heard back from them. Not enough activities for kids b/c there are too many kids (like 100s - they base it on fire capacity of a school building of how many they can take in one day and not on sufficient enrichment) and about only 6-8 sewing machines. The lead counselor at this facility last summer did not seem to care when I told her another child was physical with my child and tried to push him down the stairs and that they ran out of lunch and did not feed him anything, she said 'options were given', which was a blueberry muffin and something that he said looked like muffin with nuts. These are not proper options for lunch alternatives. He refused b/c he was afraid of his nut allergy, but they didn't bother to feed him because he refused something he would be potentially allergic to, btw we did put in the lunch order the night before. They said, "he can wait for his pizza to be ready" The pizza is ready at 3pm!! He is dropped off at 9am, that is too late for lunch. They blamed it on Panera but really they didn't want to uphold what they’re promise of feeding him. They speak like they care but their actions and neglect show they don't. And they tried to make my son seem like he was not being honest about the lunch by gas lighting him and the situation and saying that "options were given" which was a muffin and "well, it was an autistic child that tried to push him so we can't do anything", like that is ok??? It's not ok to treat kids this way. Very poorly managed and only care about money, they don't care about the kids. They will speak nice to you and then turn around and neglect your kids.

My son is 9 and is really enjoying Steve and Kate's! We did a couple of other camps this summer in the city and this was his favorite. He really enjoys the freedom and variety of activities. He is also learning some new skills that he would never have learned elsewhere such as sewing! The staff is very responsive and the director Kayla is top notch. All the counselors I have met have been super helpful and kind. Thanks Steve and Kate's!

Dear Counselors, Thank you for guiding Meow meow for the past four weeks. We came from Taiwan. This visit to New York and experience at Steve and Kate's camp is a highlight for Meow meow's 5-year-old summer. I would especially like to thank Kayla, who greeted us the first time we visited and gave Meow a camp tour. Meow wore a smile right after that and could not wait to join the program. Kayla also recommended wonderful fried chicken place when we asked. She is such a wonderful leader and listener. Gill, for his sun-like smile and energy that cheers us up whenever we met him. Gregory, who always greeted us and helped to check Meow in when we arrived super late. He is a calm and responsible teacher. There are other Counselors whom I met but was not able to name. I thank you all for being such angels around the kids. Thank you all again and we hope to see you again. Please let me know if you happen to come to visit Taiwan. Best wishes, Meow’s Mom

One of the best run camps I have experienced - QR code check-in, options for lunch, flexible scheduling. And our child absolutely loves attending this camp - a variety of activities to choose from, counselors are so personable and friendly. After the second day, they asked if we could sign them up for next year.

S&K Summer 2021 was my 4 year old’s first summer camp experience and she loved it. She was excited to go every day which says a lot to me. They have A LOT of activities on the campus grounds for the kids during the day- and it’s a full day with flexible drop off and pick up times at no additional charge which is awesome for working parents. There were covid safety protocols in place, the staff was super friendly and very responsive to emails/phone calls. I would definitely recommend and plan on sending her again next year.
