Lake Greeley Camp

Lake Greeley Camp is a traditional co-ed overnight camp on 250 acres in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania, owned and operated by the Buynak family for 65 years and accredited by the American Camp Association. Campers between the ages of 6 and 15 design their own schedule each day from more than 60 activities spanning action sports, aquatics on the camp lake and pool, circus arts, athletics, tennis, horseback riding, skate park and woodworking, alongside evening programs, special events and off-camp trips. Sessions run 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks, plus two seven-day Rookie Weeks aimed at first-time campers, and a First-Time Camper Guarantee refunds tuition for days missed if a new camper goes home early. Tuition covers daily and evening activities, themed meals, special events and trips; a mandatory canteen fund covers snack bar, laundry and trip t-shirts, and sibling and early-enrollment discounts are published.

I went here 2nd years in a row and its amazing!! I really didn’t want to leave the camp on the last day. I already miss here. It was really fun doing the activities, cabin clean up, hanging out with friends, and more.

I recently had the pleasure of sending my 11-year-old son to Lake Greeley Camp for the first time, and I must say, it was an incredible experience for both of us. From the initial inquiry to the registration process, Matt Jr. was extremely helpful, answering all my questions and setting up a visit for us to tour the camp. Owners were warm and welcoming, and the camp's unplugged aspect was a major draw for me, as my son is usually glued to his video games and phone. The camp offers a wide range of activities, and the staff, specifically his counselors Matt and Robert, were fantastic. I was anxious about leaving my son for two weeks, but after emailing Beth, she gave me updates and reassurances that put my mind at ease. When I picked him up, he was beaming with excitement, having discovered a new passion for skateboarding, I also found it amazing after only two weeks he interacted with staff and other kids as if they have known each other their whole life. He had so many good things to say about his two counselors Matt and Robert as well as ‘Skatepark Jordan’ who unfortunately I didn’t get the pleasure of meeting, however my son couldn't stop talking about his experience. I'm grateful to everyone at Lake Greeley Camp for creating such a wonderful environment, we hope to make this an annual summer tradition for my son and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a summer camp. If you found this camp in your search no need to continue looking!

My family really can’t say enough good things about Lake Greeley. My son went away for the first time and absolutely loved it. Every single person who works there goes above and beyond in making sure your child has a great time while ensuring you, as parents, feel comfortable with putting your child in a stranger’s hands. This was all proven when my son suffered a freak injury and his time at camp was unfortunately cut short. The staff couldn't have been more sensitive to our anxiety about the situation and couldn't have done more to provide as much care and attention as they possibly could. Highly, highly recommend!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! This was seriously the most fun I've ever had. The staff and owners are extremely nice. You are like a family when you go here. Everyone is extremely kind and accepting. There is so much to do. From swimming to archery to silks, if you can think of it, then it's probably an activity. This place was not only fun, but it really taught me a lot about independence and community. I can not recommend this more.

My daughter went here for band camp. It was our first time at a new camp, after using the same camp for many, many years, and we couldn't have been happier!! There were many comments of, "why didn't we switch sooner", and I know the kids all really want to go back next year. The food was good, cabins were nice and clean, field house was HUGE and the field they used was nice and had lights for night practicing!! It can be stressful as a mom to send your child away, but after meeting the staff and seeing the facilities I felt comfortable with her being there. Thank you to everyone who made this a wonderful camp experience for all our kids!!
