The Delaware Youth Center, a nonprofit membership organization on the Delaware River in Callicoon, runs a seven-week summer program weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon, beginning June 29 in 2026. Days rotate through arts and crafts, environmental education, sports, live animal classes, dance classes and music shows, and families can attend every day or only the days that suit them. Importantly it is a half-day program and not a drop-off one: it encourages group participation, and children under 13 must have an adult or caregiver on site at all times. The program is included in the annual membership fee, and the center's outdoor pool runs late June to early September with separate two-week swim lesson sessions at $100-$120 per child.
