My kiddo has been going to the drama camp for five summers. They started in elementary school and have continued through Middle school. They now attend as both a camper and also as a counselor in training/assistant. They have always found the camp fun, exciting and worthwhile. I know they enjoy the daily chances to mix with different age groups and the opportunities to create their own stories. As a parent, I have found Kristi to be incredibly responsive and helpful in terms find a receipt, helping me figure out what dates I actually signed my child up for 5 months ago when I can’t find it and helping answer questions I have. We’ve both had a great experience with this camp. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

My daughter had the most wonderful experience at Wedgewood Drama this summer! She had such a great time the first week that we ended up doing three more. Christi is truly a ray of sunshine—she shows up 100% for the kids every single day and pours her heart into the program. Her playfulness and creativity make such a fun, supportive environment where the kids feel free to express themselves. We were so impressed by how much our daughter grew in confidence and how much fun she had along the way. The movie at the end was just the cherry on top. We’re so grateful for Christi and Wedgewood Drama and can’t wait to return next year!

Wedgwood Drama Camp is amazing and you need to send your kids here! The owner, founder, and director, Christi Cruz, was my kiddo’s co-op preschool teacher prior to Covid and we loved her upbeat and encouraging attitude. We signed my daughter up for summer camp as soon as she was old enough (a rising Kindergartner) and she has attended every year since then, and always has a blast! The kids play outside all day, the activities are engaging and interactive, and the staff are so fun, so kind, and more diverse than most camps I’ve seen in Seattle, which is something we really value in my family. Kids don’t necessarily need to be extroverted or want to be in the spotlight to have fun. I believe they do a great job of ensuring that every kid attending feels welcome and comfortable enough to participate. We also love that the kids get to make their own “movie” each week of camp, and this past year, my kiddo and her friends got to help write their own script! We’ve invited several friends to join her at camp in years past and they’ve always enjoyed themselves as well. Outside of summer camp, Wedgwood Drama also offers camps (some are drop-in/single day!) during school breaks which have been a life-saver for our family. We have loved all the programs Christi has offered to our community and highly recommend! It’s a wonderful place to encourage kids to be creative, express themselves, and build their confidence.

Christi is a DREAM! Do not hesitate to sign up for anything she’s involved in! Both of my kiddos have done summer drama camp in the park since they were old enough- and it’s the only summer camp they’ve done every single summer. While it’s drama driven, there’s a “place” for everyone- my older loves writing the script and the acting, while my younger always says he wants to be the stage manager (but ends up acting!). The counselors (and junior counselors) are engaged and passionate about children, with stage acting as a vehicle to reach/interact with the kids. We’ve always had a wonderful experience with the other kids and families, too. Note that this is not an intense, high-value production drama experience— this is an approachable and creative world where kids learn they have a voice and are important, and that art of all kinds has innate value. Christi and her team go out of their way to keep the magic (hello fairy houses!). The team creates incredible videos by the end of the week, and you can see each child had a hand in it. Such a pure, safe, nurturing place.

Absolute BEST. Wedgwood Drama camps are not to be missed - our kids do a minimum of 2 during the summer (one summer we did 6 sessions!!!) and we love the holiday timed ones as well. Summer camp = magical land of outdoor theater, creativity, and FUN. Our kids always meet new friends, looking forward to joining daily. The team on site is creative, present, authentic and imaginative, helping each kid shine. We have known Teacher Christi for 5+ years and she's a gem of a teacher who we trust and adore. She brings everyone up around her and has woven a web of community through these camps.
