This is something I never thought I would say but this company is honestly a joke. They give mediocre lines to all the kids favourite some kids and even give some children special “ treatment” for their parents paying extra which not all of us can do. There fees are already high as is and it’s not unfair to the students who really are passionate about doing this. My daughter was extremely upset after the callbacks and I was shocked to hear how to director treated them and treated some other kids. I expected so much more but it’s a shame that’s my expectations weren’t met.
Low quality summer camp! I got my kid into one of their summer camp and it was so boring that she did not want to go. their final show was almost a joke! Kids sitting on the floor and the narrator doing 90% of the talking! When you read their description of each camp, you say wow this would be great! But unfortunately, it is nothing like it. They did not even bother to make some decoration or background scene to give the kids a real sense of a play! Not sure if any kid learned anything useful! Their scholarship program is also seem non functional at best or just another failure ! They do not even respond to emails or applications. I would never send my kids there again!
My girls love performing at Studio East. It's such a supportive and caring environment. They work so hard and take such pride in the work they do with the help of directors and producers.
Wonderful organization, professionally run, great teachers and caring staff. So happy and excited to send me daughter to participate in Studio East programs. So happy to recommended this organization to anyone interested is serious theater training.
