CampTMP is Tacoma Musical Playhouse's summer musical theater program, in which campers rehearse and stage a full Broadway Junior or KIDS production; 2026 titles include Madagascar KIDS, Shrek KIDS, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR, 9 to 5 JR, Footloose and Winnie the Pooh KIDS. Camps run 9am-4pm Monday-Friday, two weeks for grades 1-3 and four weeks for grades 4 and up, ending in public performances at the theater on 6th Avenue. Campers are grouped by their upcoming school-year grade, from entering 1st grade through recent graduates, and rehearsals are split between TMP and The Spire. Needs-based scholarships are available for camp, and popular sessions sell out with waitlists run through the parent portal.

Powered by GoogleI go here at least twice a year for The Young At Heart plays because they are always good and I know many in the cast! Check them out in the fall. $10 for seniors and $12 for adults.
So much fun! The musical play was amazing. The guest representatives were super nice and attentive. Thank you!
It is a quaint older playhouse with a smaller auditorium, making it feel more personable. The ushers and concession clerks are very kind and helpful. The bathrooms are large, clean and updated. Each time I visit, I thoroughly enjoy myself.
This small theater does a great job with musical performances. I have gone here over many years and find the parking & theater refreshing from all the local Seattle locations. Happy I have friends in the area so the drive is worth it.
Let me start by saying we have been attending this theater for over 10 years. Our child does great during theater performances and is also in a children's theater program. This is why we bring her and she falls well within the recommended age. During a recent performance we had 2 snobby women in front of us who clearly dis liked children. So we moved during the performance so we wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. They then decided to file a complaint of lies with the theater.. The theater believed everything they said and sent us this.. we would appreciate it if you choose to attend our Main Stage shows in the future please leave the children at home. Thank you. TMP I was really surprised considering it was supposed to be a children friendly theater..we have attended several performances with our daughter and never had an issue. Needless to say our 10 years of loyalty has meant nothing and we will never be back to this theater. The clear discrimination against families with children was unreal. I don't recommend this theater if you have a child under the age of 12. Be prepared for the theater to tell you to leave your children at home if someone files a complaint. I must say in all my years of going to the theater I have never been so disappointed and felt so unwelcome. My husband and I really look forward to giving our money to other local theaters in the community. In addition I have referred several friends and families here over the years. We will never be back and they don't need to worry about us bringing our children back. The best of luck to this theater and how they treat there patrons. It was like we were no body and I am very surprised how we were discriminated against because we had children. Be prepared for a negative experience! Patrons of over 10 years
