We have been with TUSA for many years. A few seasons are excellent, the majority are mediocre, and rarely have we had a truly terrible season. While the communication has improved over the years, it is still less than desirable, especially around last minute changes, coaches absences (which happened very frequently this year on one of our teams), and player feedback throughout the season. TUSA does an excellent job of providing financial assistance to those who need it, more so than other clubs. Unfortunately, for players on the lower level teams, field space, communication, and often coaching talent are sacrificed due to the impressive focus on the higher level teams. That being said, other leagues face similar challenges and all youth travel soccer leagues are ridiculously expensive for what you get. Fortunately middle school and high school sports are "free" and, in our experience, the sense of "team" is much more present in MS and HS soccer than it is in club soccer. However, the competitive nature of both travel and HS soccer makes it inaccessible for many kids which is unfortunate. TUSA has definitely improved over the last 10 years, but still has some work to do.

Terrible experience. Front office was rude. Payments and sign ups were a pain. Unfriendly and unresponsive. Then the program itself was terrible. No quality coaching or development. It is like kickball but they teach you do a step over first. We could not wait to leave and we will never go back.

I am not at all impressed with the tournaments organized by TUSA. Our team participated in an August tournament. The schedules were very poorly planned. We had a 2:30 game at one field, then a 5:00 pm game at another field that was 45 minutes away. We tried unsuccessfully all week leading up to the tournament to communicate this oversight to the organization, but got no response. One positive is that when did did arrive at the field at 4:50, the site organizer gave us an extension of time to allow players to use the restroom and stretch again after 45 min. cramped in cars. We ended the tournament undefeated, but were told "Sorry. There are no more medals." Our last game was against the other top team so there should have been recognition that one of us would earn the medals. Three weeks later, they still have not listed our team name as the group champions, or delivered the medals. It is very discouraging for players to work so hard and then be told, "There is no reward." Teams sign up for tournaments to win. That is why they pay for them. Scrimmages are the FREE games that are organized just for fun. If an organization collects money for a specific service, they should provide that service. So, in the end, you earn 2 stars: 1 for the helpful site organizer who valued our team's health/safety and let us warm up. 1 for A/C in the bathrooms...at one of the site (the one with running water).

Terrible organization and communication, bad coaching, no one seems to care about children paying attention or doing drills coaches more interested in using cell phones and getting home than actually doing anything constructive WE PULLED OUR CHILD OUT of this horrible league.
