Powered by GoogleSuper friendly staff. The facilities are very clean, and there is quite a variety of workout equipment and free weights. The modern design of the building makes for some great natural lighting and views out the windows. Watching a community build up around this place is pretty cool too.
My wife and I joined the new YMCA in Chatham Park, and almost everything we experienced was the opposite of what you would expect from a new YMCA. Within the two months we stayed, three times there was no hot water. One time there was no heater or electricity. This was during December and January when it was cold. We also constantly had to wait for machines because the machine selection is too small. But the worst thing, and the main reason for this review, is the cleanliness. The pictures I uploaded are the result of one full week. On Monday morning I noticed it was dirty. Tuesday it looked exactly the same. Wednesday the same. Thursday the same. On Friday I brought my phone, which I normally never bring to the gym, to document it. It was exactly the same dirt on the floor, sink, and around the toilet as the days before. This was clearly not the result of 24 hours. They simply did not clean for the entire week, which I found absolutely disgusting and unbelievable for a public gym. I am one of the people who come in every morning right when they open at 5:00 AM. On day two I already wondered if they had even cleaned the day before. So I checked every morning after opening, and they literally did not clean for the whole week. When you add everything together, it is a miracle how a YMCA or any business can operate like this today. No hot water, no heater, not enough machines for a proper workout, and not clean. After two months we decided to quit and leave. And one more thing: every morning there is a lot of talking at the reception, but it feels like nobody really cares. They assume that if nobody says anything, everything must be fine. These are fundamentals of running a business. As a business owner myself, I have to say the leadership at this location failed 100%.
Terrible value for money. $30 for a day pass is criminal. Facility looks way cooler than it actually is. Weight room and cardio options are quite small.
Beautiful new YMCA in the growing Chatham Park area of Pittsboro, NC. Outdoor pool, tons of fields and sports courts. Plenty of parking and an awesome, modern fitness center with all of the cardio, selectorize, plate loaded, racks and dumbbells that you need. I absolutely LOVE all of the Life Fitness and Hammer Strength they have 💪😬😬
Still under construction I toured the facility with my service club. Overall concept and offering is going to be really fantastic. Very family friendly with touches of convenience offerings for those with younger members of the family. Sign me up!!!
