The YMCA had to cancel the youth volleyball league because not enough registered. They offered for the kids to do the skills clinic with the younger kids. My child declined so we said we just want the refund. They told us numerous times that we would not get the full refund because we still owe the deposit, because my child is the one that didn’t want to do the skills clinic. We didn’t sign up for the skills clinic. We paid $144 for the league, not a skills clinic for a younger age group. It took persistence and talking to different people to get my full refund. Thank you Vanessa at YMCA for finally giving us the full refund for the program you were no longer offering. I’m leaving 1 star because I want other people to be aware of their business practices.

Hello please do not come here unless you walk into the building with closed toed athletic footwear. I was enjoying my stroll with slides on with shoes in my bag, I sign into the ymca and before I put my bag down the infamous Julia Bradshaw AKA “Slides Police” told me to put my shoes on not even 2 minutes to my stay in the backcourt. She has done this countless times even when I have shoes on she still gets mad when I’m not even doing anything at all. I don’t see her talk to any NONE colored people like this. She ruins everybody’s mood and then will be a burden about it please don’t come to this ymca if you are under the age of 18 thank you.

Edited to add in response to their response: their hours are posted on the website... NOW. They were absolutely not this morning. I'm glad they added that but only because I called their overarching office to let them know and got them to change it. Take some accountability. The front desk lady also told us they were the only gym in the area with this policy, so call and double check ahead of time before going to an Triangle YMCA location. THEY ONLY ALLOW MEMBERS AFTER NOON ON FRIDAYS. This is not posted anywhere until you walk in the door and no other YMCA location does this. We asked that they put this on their website to warn people and they refused.

I'm not a member yet; I notice they have excellent instructors like Abbey B and Kelly G for Bodypump. It would be great if they also brought April J and Alison L for BodyCombat. I met these fantastic instructors at O2 Fitness—closer to my home—but I’m willing to drive a bit farther to support a community that shares my values. I'm simply browsing, but what attracts me most are the Christian values this place upholds. As more people come from areas with fewer Christian principles, the triangle region seems to be losing its Christian identity.

Very nice place to workout. The staff was so friendly & helpful--gave me a tour and answered all my questions. The pool was great as well as the sauna. 😍 There are separate locker rooms for men and women above and below 18 yrs old which is a nice touch! Everything was nice and clean. There are also life guards on duty! ❤
