Tacoma Youth Theatre runs one-week theater day camps, Monday through Friday 9am-4pm, in which campers rehearse and stage a full non-musical play and every young actor receives a speaking role. Plays are chosen from the company's repertoire with the cast, and each camp ends with public pay-what-you-can performances that weekend. A recent session was a Peter Pan camp for ages 7-13, held at the company's space on Broadway in downtown Tacoma.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Tacoma Youth Theatre directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleGreat programming for youth. My son is begging to be enrolled in another production! We couldn't be happier with the experience
Phenomenal!!! I encourage everyone at least once to allow your youth 5 to 18 to try their hand in a play. My daughter has blossomed more into a BEAUTIFUL butterfly. She has more confidence now and I LOVE IT. She has made new friends as well. I see so much growth in her and it makes me smile more than she knows. I am one proud mother! And I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Check out the website and see what would be a good fit for your youth!
My seven year old daughter went here for summer camp and had the best time. Will definitely do more performances here.
Excellent theater! I was really impressed with the creativity of both the instructors and the child actors / actresses. The layout of the theater itself is awesome. Overall it is wonderful experience for the children and families. I am glad we participated and we will definitely do it again. A rewarding experience!
Very fun experience. My daughter went to theatre day camp here. The children learn so much and then they put on their own productions. They learn to do everything themselves from acting and memorizing lines to scene changes and props.
