Merry Music Makers is a Chicago music school, teaching Music Together and other early-childhood classes since 2002, that runs summer camps with its partner Lyriq Music from its Ravenswood location. Summer Jam is a full-day camp for ages 6-8 built around weekly themes and a dedicated focus on violin, piano and percussion. It's Showtime! is a performance camp for ages 10-15 covering acting, singing and choreography. Camps run on weekly themes and register through the partner site rather than through the school's own portal.

Ms. Jessie has a wonderful way of keeping the beat, holding the energy of the room, and meeting each child exactly where they are. Whether a kid is fully engaged, quietly observing, or participating in their own unique way (running in circles while screaming), she’s never flustered and always inclusive. It creates such a welcoming, pressure-free environment for both kids and parents. It’s clear how much care, talent, and experience she brings to each class. It was incredibly fun, interactive, engaging, and age appropriate for our younger students. Our little ones explored sounds and their own voices, while our 1st and 2nd graders got age-appropriate exposure to different genres, icons, musical history, and instruments. Truly a wonderful educational experience, and we can't recommend MMM enough! Sarah and her entire team are truly top notch!

Every single week she’s so engaged and enthusiastic, and all the kids (and adults) love her. She’s so wonderful at making every child feel special, and my nanny kid’s confidence and participation has grown with each session we sign up for. Now her favorite thing to do at home is to pretend to be Ms. Jessie, find any circular object to use as her pitch pipe, and then recreate the songs and dances we do together in class :) I’m sure all the teachers are fantastic but if you have the opportunity to take Ms. Jessie’s classes I would highly recommend it!
