North Shore Dance & Theater is a nonprofit performing arts organization running one-week musical theater camps in Glenview for grades 1-6. Campers rehearse a condensed musical - 2026 titles include Grease, The Sound of Music and Willy Wonka - covering stage directions, voice projection, character development, blocking, movement, singing and costumes, and each session closes with a showcase to which every performer may invite two guests. Camps meet Monday-Friday 9am-3pm at Glenview United Methodist Church, which is handicap accessible with free parking; a three-day Triple Threat & Audition Prep session is also offered. Campers bring their own snack, lunch, water bottle and dance shoes.

Powered by GoogleOur daughter has absolutely loved being a part of NSDT! Her love for theater has grown so much and she's really enjoyed every production she's been a part of. Definitely recommend joining to be a part of one of their performances!
NDST is a standout in the realm of children's theater, offering a unique blend of professionalism, educational value, and pure enjoyment. The productions themselves are nothing short of impressive. The performances are not only entertaining but are also thoughtfully crafted to inspire young minds. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her experiences and I highly recommend NSDT!
All three of my children have done NSDT and absolutely LOVED their experiences. They’ve fully enjoyed the theater process, learned so much and been wonderfully supported and instructed along the way. When each show ends they can’t wait to find out what the next show is and when they can return. They’ve also made really wonderful friends along the way and feel so at home in the space. Thank you NSDT!
This program is organized and run by two talented and dedicated women. They work with kids of all experience levels and help them build their skills, while ensuring their time with NSDT is fun and rewarding. My son has been part of multiple shows, and I'm always amazed by the final performance that NSDT puts on.
My daughter arrived fairly late to theater & performing, at age 10. She had an amazing time with the crew at NSDT. While everyone made a real commitment to rehearsal & producing a fantastic performance, she had a ton of fun and made some wonderful friends, both younger kids & contemporaries, during the process. So much so that her younger brother joined her for the next production and had a similar positive experience. Both kids learned about responsibility, commitment, getting over nerves and helping each other out (in front of a live audience) while having a blast. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to give this production company a try!
