Children's Theatre of Western Springs (CTWS) is the youth arm of Theatre of Western Springs, a community theatre in Chicago's western suburbs, and runs summer musical theatre and acting camps for students who have completed kindergarten through 12th grade. The flagship camps are two-week musical productions -- The Music Man JR (completed K-8th, three sessions, 8:30am-12:30pm), Singin' in the Rain JR (completed 5th-8th, 2-6pm) and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! (completed 8th-12th, 2-6pm) -- each ending in a public camp-version performance. Shorter options include a one-week Warmup Camp for completed K-3rd, a one-week Improv Camp for completed 5th-9th, and a two-week Acting Camp. Every camper is cast in the show and performs in multiple numbers, campers are grouped roughly by age, staff are background-checked theatre teachers and student interns, and the theatre publishes a financial aid and scholarship page.

12 Angry Jurors was well-done! Excellent casting choices. Thought-provoking script. New seating fairly recently (within 2 years) is comfortable - a significant improvement. Staff and volunteers always friendly

Not so small community theater with multiple productions. Saw Dial M for Murder. Met with the Director Susan Nyhan! Almost a century old commumity theater in a modern multi theater building. There is plenty of parking and easy access via ramps.
