The Marlins Team and coach Chris Gleason have completely changed my son's life. Last year he was overweight and lacking confidence due to being made fun of for his body type. We tried baseball and football to try to get him to be more active but neither made him truly happy. He finally asked if he could try swim because he loved the water. Since joining the Marlins this past September, he has found a love for swimming! With Coach Chris's encouragement and fantastic coaching techniques he has become more active and confident than ever, swimming 4 days a week and exercising at home on the off days, not because he's told to but because he truly wants to so he can get faster. This first year we elected to not do any meets while he was learning, the Marlins organization never made us feel bad for this decision nor did Coach Chris ever train my son differently than the rest of the team that did attend the meets. This allowed him the time he needed to learn and continue to grow as an athlete, and grow in his love of the sport. Amazingly, in just a year he's lost all of the extra weight and is now flying through the water. He hates missing practice even for a day. I have never seen him so dedicated to a sport before and I could not be more thrilled that we found this new sport family. It has changed his life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Our son started swimming with MOR at age 7. He started only knowing freestyle and backstroke. Within the first 6 months, he was able to swim all 4 strokes, complete a flip turn and safely dive/start. A little over a year later and he can't get enough swim and has already progressed to the next age group. We are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement and direction the coaches he works with provide. They have been amazing mentors to him in and out of the pool!

I am so happy we decided to have our daughter swim with the Marlins. This is her first year round competitive experience and her Coach, Chris Gleason, has made it such a great experience for her. I would recommend anyone who has a new or even experienced age group swimmer to come join. You will not regret it.

If I could give less stars I would. I enrolled my children in the MOR in May program with the understanding that it was a good 3 week 3x a week program to get just summer league swimmers ready to swim again in summer. First off the age differences were a little much from 5-12 year olds were all grouped into one, leaving the younger children struggling and being the forgotten abouts at one end of the pool. The coach showed no true interest in teaching or helping the younger (less experienced) kids, instead they were barked at and watched over by a teenager that didn't speak to them. They have basically done laps for an hour every practice every week. I've decided to no longer take my children to end out this program. Disgusted in the lack of respect shown to my kids and other swimmers. My kids do swimming in summer to stay in shape and have fun within our community while their other sports are on breaks. To say this was utterly the worse program, coaching and disregard would be putting it lightly. My kids don't even want to swim anymore.

Completely disappointed with the swimming class for my 6 year kid. We paid just to get the kid entertained in water which we would have done in the pool located in our community. Complete waste of money.
