Kitsap Forest Theater, run by The Mountaineers Players, hosts outdoor youth camps in a forest setting 15 minutes from the Bremerton ferry dock. Kitsap Forest Adventure Camp is for kids in grades K-4 (ages 5-10) and mixes art, music, and drama with hiking and exploring the forest, wildlife, and creeks. Kitsap Forest Theater Camp teaches audition technique, vocal skills, script work, and theater games, with campers and instructors creating pieces together and closing the week with a variety-show performance for family and friends. ★★★★★Melissa MoonReally fun experience- 103 yr strong! There is a quarter mile hike down to the theater, which is in the middle of the forest. Best to use the toilet at the top before you go down. There's concessions w/ $3 chips & candy. The seats are informal..more like a stadium carved out of the ground.So bring a blanket or something to sit on. Its open seating. Theres an intermission. Fun for all ages
★★★★★Kelly MaloneyLove this little theater. A short walk down into the forest brings you to this outdoor amphitheater. There is plenty of seating, a pit toilet, and concessions at intermission. They allow you to bring your own food and drink as well. You can go meet the cast after the show if you want, too! They are also on top of parking and traffic control after so you aren't stuck waiting for someone to make a left hand turn out of the parking lot. Parking is free. There is a van for those with mobility issues or who cannot make the short hike down to the theater. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time exploring and actually never made it to the tree. After further research, it looks like it's about 1.5 mile so I think we were fairly close. We did enjoy exploring everything this special forest had to offer. There's a lot to see so I recommend packing snacks. There are restrooms but I believe those are only available during theater performances. Plenty of free parking. There is also a caretaker on site.

No trash around anywhere. The volunteers were incredible, helped my wife and I. The actors were also amazing and everyone of them had such talent. The singing, wow! We are getting tickets for the other cast members also and we will be awaiting for next year's Anne of Green Gables Musical and their production of Beauty and the Beast. One of the best parts are, it is very affordable. Thank you, thank you.
