Powered by Google. My son start swimming at age 8 beginning. Made to silver at 12. He loves Katy aquatic.
We’ve had a fantastic experience with Katy Aquatics and couldn’t be happier with the competitive team program. Both of my kids absolutely love being part of the team, and it’s been amazing to watch their skills, confidence, and work ethic grow. The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in each swimmer’s development. They strike a great balance between pushing the athletes to improve while still making practices enjoyable. The team environment is encouraging and positive, which has helped my kids build friendships and feel motivated to keep progressing.
A lot of great dedicated coaches. Great staff overall. Blessed to have such a great swim club in Katy
WARNING!!! TO ALL PARRENTS!!! Our family’s experience with Katy Aquatics has been extremely disappointing. The program struggles with leadership and organization, which has caused ongoing issues: High turnover among coaches: In a short period, five coaches have left. This instability has left swimmers without consistent guidance, and the replacements often lack the background needed for competitive coaching. Poor scheduling and communication: Practices and team events are often disorganized, which creates confusion and stress for both swimmers and parents. Fundraising structure: Families are charged fees regardless of participation, which feels more like a mandatory payment than true fundraising. Athlete treatment: Swimmers are sometimes punished for very minor things (like forgetting a water bottle), which creates a negative environment instead of encouraging growth. It’s frustrating to see a program with so much potential fall short due to leadership that seems focused on its own interests rather than the well-being of the athletes or the development of the team. I cannot recommend this club to families looking for a positive, supportive swim environment.
We have been part of Katy Aquatics competitive program for 10 years now! The coaches are excellent and communicate well. As noted in many reviews, we are required to volunteer, but that has always been stated in the registration and is nothing new when your kids participate in a club sport. Volunteering is fun during meets and easy to complete. Katy Aquatics is a nationally recognized swim club and I have seen my daughter flourish under their guidance. I highly recommend joining!
