Camp Paseo is the City of Bellaire's all-day municipal camp for children ages 5-12, based at the Bellaire Recreation Center on 5th Street. Summer runs eleven Monday-Friday weekly sessions from 8:00am to 3:30pm with themed weeks, sports instruction in baseball, basketball, flag football, kickball, pickleball, soccer and volleyball, plus arts and crafts, board and card games, library visits and police and fire department visits. Campers swim three to four times a week at the Bellaire Town Square Family Aquatic Center, and any camper registered as a non-swimmer is automatically enrolled in American Red Cross swim lessons taught by certified lifeguards. Groups are co-ed and arranged by age at ratios of 1:6 for age 5, 1:8 for ages 6-8 and 1:10 for ages 9-12, which the city states follow American Camp Association minimums; before care from 7:30am and after care to 5:30pm cost extra, lunch is not provided, and single-day camps run on HISD holidays in fall, winter and spring.

I pass by this park at least four times a week and have never seen a person enjoying the park because it is in the middle of a very busy street. Literally, right in the middle between eastbound and westbound lanes. If you can get there, it really is a very beautiful park, great for taking pictures without old ladies yelling at you.
