It is the home of the Harris County Aquatics Program, created in 1992 to teach youth discipline, leadership and teamwork through swimming, with a strong emphasis on water safety skills. The center also runs therapeutic classes for conditions such as arthritis and adult sessions including water aerobics and Zumba.
