Powered by GoogleThis is a great facility however, the parking is so atrocious that I might as well move back to Boston. They should not have the membership volume if they can’t accommodate approximate parking spots. I have to drive around for 15 minutes in the neighborhood every time I come here to find a spot because the lot is always full. I can’t imagine being a neighbor of the Y I would be so pissed off about all the crap parking and clogging up the streets. Who the hell planned this parking!??
I recently worked with the Y team at this facility for an event off-premise, and I must say their dedication to the community was very apparent! The team was so nice and so responsive, and it was a pleasure working with them, especially Julie and Diana.
Had to edit this since I’ve noticed some EH&S issues: Pros: This gym is great, very friendly staff, fully equipped with yoga studios, 2 pools, a sauna/steam room, and a full weight room. For the price you pay it’s well worth it if you’re a regular. Cons: I think they have no environmental health and safety walkthroughs. The water fountain in the pool area tastes like chlorine, other water fountains come out warm, and the men’s locker room is in rough shape. The sauna has metal screws sticking out that will burn you if you aren’t careful, and the steam room door is missing a handle. Overall the property has great amenities but they aren’t managed well.
Stay away from the pool! It's like the wild, wild west. The lifeguards, membership director, and members create complete chaos with no system in place. I received two concussions in two weeks because the staff/members were not paying attention. The water aerobics presents a whole other set of problems. The older women in class are territorial and mean-spirited. Absolutely horrible place to swim.
I've been going to this Y now for over a year. The community here is great. With the addition of the outdoor workout area, this gym has everything you want including pools, a sauna, and even childcare. Extra points for the free coffee on Wednesdays. The staff is friendly and the personal trainers are supportive and knowledgeable as well
