Christodora-Manice Education Center

The Manice Education Center is Christodora's residential wilderness campus in Florida, Massachusetts, running summer sessions for New York City students currently in grades 6 to 12. Programs combine a low-ropes challenge course and daily team building with scientific inquiry into local ecology, hiking, canoeing, swimming, overnight camping trips, organic gardening, chicken care and night astronomy, and include off-site expeditions to Mount Greylock and regional rivers. Four sessions run from late June through late August, ranging from an eight-day introductory course to a longer advanced course, with staff supervising campers 24 hours a day. Tuition is sliding scale: the operator states every family receives a scholarship, with the amount set by household size and income through its CampBrain scholarship form.

The counselors are super kind and charismatic. They look out for everyone camping there, including eachother.
