The Community Recreation Association's Summer DYC Day Camp is a full-day camp for children entering kindergarten through 7th grade, based at the Dalton Youth Center and using Pinegrove and Chamberlain parks plus the Nessacus and Wahconah school grounds. Days mix swimming in the CRA pool or sprinklers, hiking, sports, arts and crafts, music, and educational games. Camp runs 7:30am–5:00pm and campers bring their own lunch; the CRA also runs half-day sports clinics and specialty workshops, open to children entering kindergarten through 12th grade, which can be paired with a half day of DYC camp to make a full day. Financial aid is available for families in need, and all campers submit a Massachusetts health form and immunization records.
