My 11-year-old son went here for his first sleepaway camp experience this summer. I'm amazed by the stories he's shared from his two weeks—so many traditions, silly games, and memories were created. This is the summer camp. Within a few days of being home, we had already committed to sending him back next summer.

Our daughter has been going to GWT for 5 years and absolutely loves it! The camp has an old school, no frills feel, with no electronics allowed! The camp director and all the counselors are great, very communicative, and truly caring. My daughter enjoys the fact that she can pick her own activities and really focus on what she enjoys while trying new activities. Her favorite is the trapeze. New friends are always made and she looks forward to going back every summer.

Where do I even begin? Greenwood Trails is nothing short of amazing. My 10 year old daughter attended the camp for the first time during the summer of 2024, for both sessions A & B. From the moment she arrived, she adjusted to the new environment quickly. The camp staff truly became her second family, and she felt right at home. What I love most about this camp is the no-phone policy. In today’s world, kids are constantly glued to their phones, but here, they get to experience life without distractions. It allows them to focus on building real social skills, which was exactly what I wanted for my daughter. By the end of session B, she came home more mature, with a positive outlook on her future, and incredibly independent. I’m so grateful for the staff and for her friends at Greenwood Trails, who helped foster this growth and encouraged her positive attitude. My family and I even had the chance to visit before the session started, and what an experience that was! We met all the staff, got a glimpse of their daily routines, and enjoyed some delicious meals prepared by their chef. We even had fun hanging out in pool and participating in some acrobatic activities together. When session B ended, my daughter begged me to stay for another session. It broke my heart to say no, especially because she loved it so much, but I had other financial obligations. She cried for days, not wanting to leave – and if that doesn’t speak to how much she loves Greenwood Trails, I don’t know what does! I wholeheartedly believe that every child should experience Greenwood Trails. You won’t regret it!

My son (12) had his first sleep away experience at GWT. He had a blast. He can be a little shy but he said he felt comfortable from the first day. He got swimmers ear while there and the nurse was communicative and took care of him. We scheduled him for next summer before we even got home. I highly recommend.

Greenwood Trails was wonderful. My 12 years old daughter came home very excited telling me all the wonderful activities. From meeting new friends, everyone very friendly, learning about living in the woods, doing Olympic activities, learning to work towards a common goal with her peers, and most important having fun. She enjoyed the pool parties and writing letters to us. Even though is was only for two weeks, she is looking forward to returning the following year and continuing to discover her abilities. She discovered a passion for basketball, soccer, and now she will tryout for her school teams. The counselors were excellent from being there for her when she felt homesick, but after the second day she learned to adapt to her new environment. Overall an excellent camp and I highly recommend it.
