★Tyesha SandersMy daughter participated in a basketball tournament this weekend hosted by Fire Ball Basketball Academy, and I was very disappointed with the experience. The host team withdrawing from their own tournament reflects poor sportsmanship and sets a bad example for the kids. Additionally, the event being cash-only for entry felt unprofessional and was not communicated in a way that made it convenient for families. Overall, this was not the level of organization or integrity I expect from a youth tournament. Finding out afterward that this was essentially just an exhibition game to prepare for your Tennessee tournament next weekend made the experience even more disappointing. It felt like families were asked to pay without any real intention of competitive play. That’s not fair to the kids or the parents who supported the event.
★Kerri KalinskiOur daughter played in a tournament here this weekend and I didn’t feel like it was run with the kids best interest in mind. My daughter’s team was mostly 4th graders with some 3rd graders and a couple 5th grafters, so mostly a very young 4th grade team. They played 6th grade teams. The match up was insane and very clearly mismatched. I get playing up a grade to get better but not two grades. It was way too big of an age difference. Not a fan of this tournament program.

★Kenny WoodsonI'm happy to see places for youth to play sports. The issue I have is charging $25 for a total of 25 minutes of basketball. 12 minutes a half and 1 min of half time. My 10 yo had a tournament and we could only attend a single game due to other obligations (I volunteer coach little league soccer). I asked for an exception and they would not grant one. This should be about the kids and their progress. If I would have brought my entire family it would have cost us $125. This is not family friendly. I saw a mom with 5 kids ask me where the onsite ATM was because of the cash only policy. She's now leaving, I assume, to get money or to not watch her child play. This seems absolutely ridiculous. Facilities: The main court is decent but the side court lacks space and does not allow for inbounding on the far side of the court because of the building's outside wall. Coaches are often standing on the court in order to instruct players as there is no sideline. Please make this about the children and their families and less about the entrance fees.
