Our boys have gone from rec and church soccer leagues to small and large soccer clubs. They’ve played for challenge, select and classic teams. We left WakeFC’s classic program for Elite’s because of the attention placed on growing each player. We’ve also found communication and scheduling to be superior to our previous experiences. Players are given various practice opportunities from coed/multi-age scrimmages & drills to yoga or HIIT circuit nights. Training sessions are designed to grow players as individuals—increasing strength, stamina, speed, breathing, confidence, & ball control; improve decision-making, logistics, & communication on the field; and decrease injury & strain. The coaching is superb—each coach is engaged and disciplined. They offer supplemental fitness and strength circuit training & the top tracking stats requested by colleges, goalkeeper sessions, fitness plans for training outside of practice and have relationships with top college recruiters. They practice three evenings per week—always at the same time & place (hooray for that). Games are either at the Elite Farm at Routes 42 & 50 in Garner, or in Fayetteville, Greensboro, Pinehurst, Cary, Shelby, or Matthews. Because the players work with all the coaches during practice and the flexibility of the team rosters, Elite’s model has proven to be a fairly Covid-proof & successful model to withstand the current challenges that clubs around the country are facing right now.
