Not much compares to a week at Unistar. Excellent staff along with daily programs for kids, teens and adults. Meals are included so your day is free to swim, kayak, hike, sail, fish, read and relax. The week wraps up with a dance and talent show.

It’s true about this being a magical place. Memories so fond that you’ll be smiling to yourself at odd times about it all. I haven’t attended in 10 or 11 years so I can only hope the traditions are being kept alive. What I do remember are ping-pong tournaments on the lodge porch, days (and nights) at the lake, the best home cooking, kayaking and canoeing, guitars strummed around fires, and dancing under disco balls. A real sense of community and love.

Magic generally happens outside my comfort zone. This is a great and supportive place to push outside normal boundaries and fears and explore nature, along with interior landscapes and relationships. The magic happens here. And it might happen playing horseshoes or sailing. And especially for kids who are signed out of devices for a week.
